Into week 5 and still going strong

I can't believe that I am now into week 5 already!

Last week I had a week of adding a meal each night - this was harder than it seems - I found it quite difficult eating the four meal packs plus a 'meal' but of course managed it as its part of the regime. I have found that its an absolute must to drink the 2-3 litres of water as this really does seem to make the weight go faster.

So the all important news is that I am now 17lbs lighter - hooray for me :) I am now making myself not weigh myself too often as I was beginning to be o bit obsessed and doing it every morning.......

I wore a skirt yesterday that I bought last year - actually I ordered it and when it came it was too tight but I reallllllly liked it (!) so I kept it thinking 'I will get into that skirt" - crazy crazy woman - anyway it is now very comfortable; I need to keep wearing it otherwise it will be too big! I am writing this bog wearing a pink shirt I love and it's quite loose which is nice in this weather but, it's very low cut so it wouldn't be that great if I wore it out! Someone I hadn't seen for several weeks saw me today and said you could really see I have lost 'loads of weight" - I was really chuffed.

My next challenge will be on Saturday when I am going to a BBQ - I will be the sado with the shake - no only joking as I am so keen to keep on going - and I am feeling great - still no side effects.

New blog coming soon x

It's week 4 and I can have a meal a day - aaarh real food for a while :)

I am now at the start of week 4 and have lost 13lbs so far. I am so excited that I have had a great weight loss so am carrying on an looking forward to the next stone coming off!

It was a bit hard at the weekend as I went to my brother's and they all enjoyed a delicious chilli followed by a lovely French apple tart ad cream and lots of nice French bread and cheese while I had soups and shakes! However I made through and now it's week 4 and I can add a meal a day!

I can have 3oz of chicken, turkey, ham, tuna plus some other options and unlimited amounts from a list of vegetables, garlic, balsamic & tobasco! Tonight I had a huge slad of spinach, peppers, cucumber and mushrooms with two slices of ham - BLISS!

Looking forward to telling you I have lost more - I feel so much better, some of my clothes are looser and it's all great!

Third week!!!

Well I am in to week three now - and have lost 10lbs so far! I was a bit disappointed that I only lost three pounds last week, but am telling myself this is silly, as loosing 3lbs in the second week of a diet is still great and, if I can keep it at that rate I will get the losses I want by the time we go to Hydra in August!

The hardest time I have had was last Sunday afternoon, when we went to Alice's God daughter, Emilia's Christening as there was lots of lovely food and a fabulous ( as Alice and others told me) Christening cake - chocolate - which you know I adore - but I didn't succumb.

My clothes are much more comfortable and I am still really into the diet. A friend of mine is doing the lemon detox diet- which sounds much harder as you can only do it for a week at a time, as it comprises of a liquid made up of maple syrup, lemon juice and cayenne pepper ( you can have a small amount of fruit) - it sounds less sustainable than then one I am on.

I am off to my brothers next weekend which will be hard going especially as he likes a drink ( boo hoo!!) and doesn't have a microwave, so it will be only soup and milkshakes for two days.

Will keep you posted on my progress again soon - but so far so good - not fallen off the wagon at all.

Hi everyone

It's now day 7 and I have lost a fantastic 7lbs , it seems as if I am loosing 1lb a day now which is so motivating - I am really encouraged to carry on. Some of the meal packs are better than others, so I'll be more selective when I order my next lot of packs. The last couple of days I have had porridge for breakfast, soup for lunch and then a main meal pack plus a shake made into a kind of cross between and Angel Delight and custard ( you just add less water) so I have felt as if I am having a pud!

I can honestly say I haven't felt hungry once, in fact some days I have had to make myself have a soup pack fro lunch!

My jeans feel more comfortable, my bra's don't dig in as much and all round I feel much better - no side effects at all.

Alice is home this weekend and she says you can definitely see a bit of difference already!

So will keep it going and when I next blog I will hopefully have lost more again!

Well it's day one and so far so good, although it's only the first day! I weighed myself to get my start weight, had porridge which tasted like baby food - not that great and even the cats didn't want to lick the bowl (!), then a spicy tomato soup for lunch which was OK, a cafe late shake at 4pm and tonight I'm having Spaghetti Bolognese ( not sure it will be a nice as it sounds) then for my treat I can have a half pint of skimmed milk, which can be used through the day in tea/ coffee but, as I drink mine black I'm going to have a nice milky drink!

It's all been fine today, I haven't felt hungry at all - have drunk over 2 litres of water - and have peed A LOT!

So I'll leave it a couple of days then post again, so you can hear how it's going a few days in xxxx

First blog about my diet!

This is the first blog of my diet story which I really hope will have a happy ending!

I am going to be really honest on this blog which I will do as often as I can, in order to help me reach the end of what will be a long road to travel.

For the last few years I have been yoyo dieting and now have reached a weight which I am very unhappy with, and which is beginning to affect my health - my blood pressure is up and my Doctor keeps telling me that I have to loose weight.

Alice and I are going back to the beautiful island of Hydra again this year at the beginning of August; I don't want to be the fattest bird on the beach again!

Anyway, I have tried lots of diets, most often - Weight Watchers which has always been successful, but this time I am going drastic ( instead of going large!!) and as two work colleagues have already tried this weight loss program very successfully, I am going to do 'All about W8'. This diet comprises meal replacements with shakes, and re-hydrated meals in very small proportions - and nothing else. It's going to be hard but the weight loss should be quite rapid. My aim is to do this until my holiday then come back and go back to Weight Watchers and a more sensible long term achievable regime.

So, when I have lost my weight, I will tell you what my start weight was, but until then I will tell you that I want to loose several stone!

So wish me luck tomorrow - MONDAY 24th MAY - when I start my diet and I'll be blogging again in the week to tell you how it's going and what it's like xxx
